We recently sent
away for the two CCW videos that are available
from the U.S. Concealed Carry
Association. Their two videos titled; Concealed
Carry Basics Volume 1 - Ultra Deep
Concealment Techniques and Concealed
Carry Basics Volume 2 - The Ultimate
Concealed Carry Holster Guide. These two
videos are great introduction to anyone new
to Concealed Carry. These videos are also
a great review for anyone who is already
licensed to Carry Concealed. I enjoy staying
current on CCW gear and training, and these
two videos helped with both of these goals.
These
videos are at their website and for
sale (at the
time we took the pictures) at
Concealed
Carry Basics Volume 1 - Ultra Deep Concealment Techniques
This video deals with
a few of the most popular holster styles,
and addresses how they are used, and
the advantages and disadvantages of
each of them.
A workbook on CD is also
included with an audio version for
listening to in the car, also on the
CD is more information on the holsters,
and where to buy them
We thought this video
would be more of the same, but it is
not. This video tackles over 30 popular
styles and brands of Concealed Carry
holsters. Again they address advantages
and disadvantages but they move at
a faster pace and cover more holsters
than in the first video.
A workbook on CD is also
included with an audio version for
listening to in the car, also on the
CD is more information on the holsters,
the companies that make them and where
to buy them
The videos from U.S.
Concealed Carry Association are both
high quality and well made. The DVDs
are professionally printed and packaged.
They are not published on their office
computer with a printed label. The
production quality of the filming and
titles, etc is also professional in
every way. We were impressed with how
well made these DVDs are compared to
many of the other choices in video
instruction these days
If a photograph is worth
a thousand words, I can only imagine
how many words are saved when a complicated
draw is described in moments with their
video techniques. These videos are
a real asset to anyone interested in
how to carry a handgun discreetly.
In addition to how to
carry and how they concealed handgun
might look, multiple carry techniques
are also discussed and illustrated.
As with the holsters themselves, the
types of carry are compared and critiqued.
While the brands of
holsters used are mentioned, these
are not a simple sales video. The
U.S. Concealed Carry Association CCW
videos are designed to show the view
HOW the holsters work and WHY some
are different (better or worse) than
others not which brand or model you
should buy.
Buying these videos is
an investment in your training, but
additionally they will save you money
eventually by letting you see why some
holsters might or might not work for
you, saving you from needless holster
purchases
