Small LED Light Review
We compare and contrast
some popular brands

Photon Micro-Light II, Photon X-Light Micro and some cheap Chinese  made versions as well as some of 'give away' quality. Some are white light, some are blue or red

Starting with the joke of the lot. An AOL 'give away'. no way to replace the battery, and it's about dead. One of the first LED lights like this though. No switch, just squeeze the leather sides These cost about $0 was ok as a key chain light at the time (years ago) but nothing good about it now, too big, no on switch only pressure.

X-Micro Personal Safety Flashlight is big on features but low on price! Features LRI's exclusive Freedom digital circuitry to provide intuitive one-button access to full range adjustable brightness plus four safety strobe functions. These cost about $8 This is my favorite of the bunch, the computer brain is AWESOME, it can blink SOS in morse code for you in an emergency. Rubber push on push off is great and easy

Used by NASA shuttle crews, US Military & the US Secret Service, the Photon II has proven to be among the toughest, most reliable LED micro-lights available. These cost about $16 These are Ok but for the price I can buy many cheap Chinese types and theyhave an easier button to use. The Chinese don't have the pressure on / off, that can be handy once in a while

These are cool little lights made in China but they work great. These cost about $5 I have A LOT of these, they work great, take a lot of abuse and cost almost nothing in bulk. I wrap a short piece of 550 cord through the loop in the back to keep them from getting lost
