There are a few Glock models with
longer than normal slides and barrels. One
is the G17L which is now being made again.
Using these longer Glocks shooters gain well
over 100 feet per second in the longer barrel.
Many shooters use tactical thigh holsters,
so they don't have drawing difficulties with
these longer guns. We had a chance to see all
of the Glock models in one place so here they
are side by side to compare the: Glock 27 subcompact
(Overall length 6.29 in.), Glock 23 compact
(Overall length 6.85 in.), Glock 22 standard
size (Overall length 7.32 in.), Glock 35 tactical

More shots of the US

the 17L had three holes in the top
of the barrel and a corresponding slot
in the slide, however later production
pistols deleted the holes.
The Glock 24C barrel vents are different from
the Glock l7L. The G24C has a series of four oval vents in the top of the
barrel. They are 1 1/8
inches to 2 7/8 inches back from the
muzzle.
