Adding
Benchmade Knife to Eagle / SKD Universal
Chest Rig An overview with
pictures
Added a
Benchmade Knife to this Eagle Universal -
SKD Version Chest Rig using the PALS attachment
webbing and 550 cord. I positioned this Benchmade
onto the Eagle Industries chest rig twice,
once on the left side and then over to the
right side.
The Eagle / SKD Universal
Chest Rig has 4 rows of modular PALS
webbing. I used the 550 cord lanyard
on the Eagle Industries sheath that
comes with the Benchmade
155 SBK.
Threaded
through the PALS webbing and wrapped
around the sheath made for a snug fit
I then attached an S.O.Tech
Battle Load Carry System (BLoCS) Small
Zippered Medical Pouch to the chest
rig and the outside of the knife sheath
The S.O.
Tech BLoCKS Medical Pouch fit well over
the Benchmade
155 SBK knife sheath, but
soon after completing this set up I saw
how worthless the knife would be on the
left side. So I decided to move it over
to the right (strong hand) side
The right side of the
Eagle / SKD Chest Rig has a Army surplus
magazine pouch with velcro flap. I
use this as a pistol holster since
the strong velcro flap can securely
hold most modern pistols. The Benchmade
155 SBK knife will be placed under
the inside half of this surplus pouch.
The sheath attached easily
and the pouch fit easily on the outside
of the sheath

.45acp in one of the four M4 / AK magazine
pouches. First Aid supplies in the
S.O.Tech BLoCKS Medical Pouch. It worked
well, stayed in place through a full
day of action shooting; crawling through
car windows, jumping in and out of
vehicles, crawling on the ground and
running
