Had to write a comment after reading "The staff is extremely friendly and courteous." by The Who. Either i have the worst luck or he's just lying. The first time I went to this place I bought a Ruger P345 and not only was the gentlemen rude but honestly very unhelpful. The only reason I even bought it is because I was lucky enough to have a friend with me that was very knowledgeable and convinced me it was better to just get the gun from them, as it was a new gun and the one i wanted. I then went there at least 4 times to shoot each time dealing with the worst customer server (maybe they thought because I was only 22 they need not bother with me). Anyways, the last time I went I actually got into a huge argument with the front desk and walked out. I will never go there again! POOR SERVICE AND INEXCUSABLY RUDE!

Love the convenience of the motorized target placement. The staff was very courteous - even to the novice shooter who might not have all the safety habits down. I didn't stop to shop, but looked like they had great variety of ammo and firearms.

Scottsdale gun club is a great range. Ignore the comments by "Guest". In August '09 the supply of guns and ammo was so scarce that everything was sold right away. Don't bother expecting people to hold things for you in hopes that you will come and buy it. So, the comments by Guest are kind of ridiculous.

The range is state of the art. The selection is huge. The staff is helpful. If you are new to shooting, they will gladly help you feel very comfortable.

You can rent anything you like, and an instructor will help you learn. If you are experienced, you will love it. Want to rent a M-16 or Mp5? No problem. (I have, it's great) Want a new suppressor? No problem. They will help you with the class 3 paperwork. You will enjoy your trip to SGC. Go down and check it out.

SCREWED BY SCOTTSDALE GUN CLUB TWICE!!!!

The old saying: "screw me once - shame on you, screw me twice - shame on me" may be true but I was dumb enough to give them a second chance.

The first time I called them about availability concerning a firearm I was told that they physically checked stock and that they did have one in stock. I gave them my credit card info so I could pick it up the next day. Shortly afterward I received a call: "Sorry it's been sold."

The second time I received a call that they had just received a couple of firearms that I had previously inquired about. I asked if they could hold them and I would call back by the end of the day. "Sure - no problem." Well, as with the first time, I called back to give them my credit card info and they pulled the same thing - "Oh, they are gone." I reminded the rep that he said he would hold them and that he did not specify any time constraint other than by the end of the day - "I'm sorry Sir."

Don't trust Scottsdale Gun Club! If you are not at their counter with cash in hand do not believe anything that they tell or promise!

The staff is extremely friendly and courteous. The range master was very helpful and offered to help at every chance. They have a safety video which none of the other ranges seem to have for first time shooters. They have a wide array of firearms at the normal local rates. These guys even carry fully automatics which can be rented starting at $55/.

Ted Marshall's reputation as the premier AK builder and AK gunsmith proceeds him in collectors circles.

Some of us go beyond the mere pleasure of shooting the AK47 and delve into the never ending quest to collect the accurate parts to eventually build the ultimate historical recreation of our favorite version of the AK47. When you get to that point you are paying more for an upper handguard than most people pay for entire rifles. You're traveling 2 days out of your way to visit a shop in a town that you heard might have the magazine pouch you need to hold the mags for that rifle.

When you reach this point you look to just one person to build your AK, Ted Marshall
