Rules:
Safety. Always remember that safety is the first rule when you are on the range,
shooting or as a spectator.

Spectators. If you aren’t shooting do not go onto the firing line area
to talk to a shooter.

Range Commands. Know all of the range commands that may be used in your shooting
discipline. If you are unsure of the commands ask the RSO.

Be Aware of others. Know where other shooters are at all times.

Target changing. At the Command to “Cease-Fire” all shooters will
unload and apply bolt open indicators and then move to the rear of their station
on the backside of the yellow safety line. Only when the RSO has determined
the line is safe and he states the “The line is safe, you may go down
range” is it allowed to do so.

Targets allowed. Shoot only at authorized targets. Nothing but paper targets
will be used on this range and no more than one target per stand. All targets
must be centered in the frame uprights. Multiple targets causes damaged frames.
Do not use rocks to hold down target frames.

Ground level targets are not permitted on this range. Maintain the proper target
height to insure that your projectile is hitting the backstop at the desired
level. If you have a question about this ask the Range Officer for an opinion.

Impact areas. Targets must be positioned so that all projectiles strike within
the impact backstop.

Range Officers. No person is allowed to shoot on this range unless there is
a RSO on duty

Cease Fire Command. Anyone may issue the cease-fire command but the RSO on
duty normally accomplishes this in the normal course of events. If you feel
that fire should cease for a safety reason then do not hesitate to issue the
command loud and clear.

Do not handle any firearm or stand at the firing line where firearms are present
while anyone is down range. You must either be down range or behind the Yellow
Safety Line

Always keep the muzzle of your firearm pointed in a safe direction.

Firing sessions will normally be fifteen minutes in duration, followed by a
target-changing period. Do not accomplish your target inspections at the target
line. Do it at the benches behind the firing line.

Junior shooters under the age of 18 must be under the supervision of an accompanying
adult at all times.

Range Flags. There are three flags on the range. The Red flag is located to
the rear of the hi-power firing line east of the range office. This flag must
be raised before the range is operational. It should be lowed at the end of
the day. The other two flags are boundary markers and fly at all times.

No Shooting will take place on the following days, New Years Day, Thanksgiving
Day and Christmas Day.

Shooting will be suspended for range maintenance one half day per month. The
time and date of the suspension will be scheduled by the Range Director and
will be noted on the monthly calendar.

Sand Bags and Target Frames. If you use club provided sand bags you are expected
to put them back in the locker where they are kept in front of the Range office.
The same goes for target frames. If you damage a target frame the range master
will levy a charge based on his estimate of the cost to repair it.

Shotgun patterning. Patterning will only be done with permission of the Range
Master and only on patterning boards supplied by the shooter. The Club will
not allow the use of club target frames for this purpose.

Shotgun shooting. Firing at moving clays is not permitted. Shooting slugs is
permitted but they must strike the backstops. This may be done on the pistol
or the hi-power range with concurrence of the RSO.

Ammunition. Any commercial grade, Military surplus except tracer and armor
piercing and properly hand-loaded ammunition may be used on this range.

Repairing firearms. Repairs will only be done at the firing line and only if
the Range Officer grants permission. The firearm will at all times be pointed
down range so that any discharge will strike the backstop berm.
